The Triangle Plus Some Trinities
by Bruce Johnson

The triangle can be studied esoterically as a three-sided geometric form that expresses energy and force. An energy emanating triangle or energy triangle is seen to be an upward pointing triangle with a horizontal base line. It is also known as a primary, initial or superior triangle. Each of the three points of the superior triangle emanates either energy or a type of force. The ancient mystery schools taught the triangle was the basic geometric form behind all manifestation. Let’s examine the nature of an energy-based triangle.

The uppermost or vertex point is the first and beginning point of the primary triangle. This point is positively charged, and emanates the outgoing and down flowing principle spiritual energy of the triangle. The point in the lower left corner of the superior triangle is dual, being positively/negatively charged, and is called the second point of the triangle. This point emanates a force that is negatively charged in relation to the first point, but is positively charged in relation to the third point of the triangle. The point in the lower right-hand corner of the superior triangle is the third point of the triangle. The third point is always negatively charged, radiates a different emanated force than the second point, and is the polar opposite of the first point, or summit point of the triangle.

The three points of energy triangle encompass a primary spiritual energy plus two lesser forces. The energy which emanates from the first or upper-most point of the triangle moves downward in a counter-clock wise direction through the second point, toward the third point in the lower right corner of the triangle.

The process of physical manifestation can be described through the triangle. Un-manifested universal spirit at the top or first point of the triangle initially manifests in a dual form at the second point of the triangle. This is a subjective state of manifestation that corresponds to the creation of the form in the subtle mental substance that underlies all tangible, physical things. The subjectively manifest form at the second point of the triangle is reflected into dense physical matter at the third point of the triangle. The third point of the triangle completes the manifestation that began at the top vertex point of the triangle.

The traditional Kabalistic triangle at the top of the Sephirothic Tree that is also used in the Rider tarot deck is a reflection of the occult energy triangle. An energy triangle shows the left-hand corner or second point of the triangle to be androgynous and both positively and negatively charged, in contrast to the Kabalist who makes this point the negative and feminine Binah. The energy triangle makes the right-hand corner or third point negative, while the Kabalist sees the positive, male Chochmah at the right-hand corner of the triangle. The High Priestess, The Chariot, The Lovers, and the Devil tarot cards all illustrate the reflected Kabalistic triangle.

The following trinities are based on their positions in the energy-based triangle. The first word corresponds to the triangle’s first point, the second word to the second point of the triangle, and the third word to the third point of the energy triangle. Electricity-electromagnetism-magnetism, God- Adam- Eve,  will-love-intelligence, Brahma-Vishnu- Siva, gold- electrum-silver, Father-Son-Holy Ghost, unity- duality- multiplicity, red- blue-yellow, Osiris- Horus- Isis, circle- the squared circle-square, Zeus- Apollo- Python.

Communicating With Loved Ones Who Have Passed Without Psychic Abilities

by Bob Romero

The first article that I wrote, was about a psychic reading with my mom. I went to a second reading about a year later, and she came forth again. It was the same setting as the initial reading, which was in a spiritual healer’s house, and with the young psychic with her amazing gift. There was no cost, just something to share in a potluck dinner. She again communicated with the departed loved ones of the people that were in attendance. Again, mom’s personality came forth as she was the first one in line with the light in the angel case flashing on and off. Her message was that she was fine and that she was having a good time with my dad, and not to worry about her. What was interesting was that right after my mom, my niece also came forth. I haven’t been to any of readings in that setting since, because my family seems to dominate the time and there are many others who want to hear from their loved ones.

My niece died a few days before her 20th birthday in late September of 1981. She was struck by a drunk driver early in the morning when she was returning home from a college volleyball match in New Mexico. She was a beautiful young woman with blue eyes and golden blond hair in her sophomore year at Colorado School of Mines. Her drive for excellence made her successful in softball, basketball, and volleyball, as well as in the classroom. Yet all of her physical and mental attributes paled in comparison to her inner radiance. She was a warm person with a warm smile, and made anyone who came in contact with her, feel good. Her humor and positive energy were contagious. It was a devastating loss not only to all of her extended family, but to all who knew and loved her.

She appeared to the psychic to let me know that she was sorry that she had passed at such a young age, and that she wanted her mom to take better care of herself. My sister had been taking care of her husband for many years until his death, and my niece was concerned about the physical and emotional toll on her mother. I asked about my brother-in-law and she said that she was showing him how to adjust to the afterlife.

What I was able to glean from these readings was that our loved ones are there in our presence and can hear us. Our psychic abilities increase by raising our vibrations according to several spiritual teachers and authors. They also suggest that we speak out loud to our loved ones just like we would do with our spirit guides. If your psychic abilities aren’t developed, enough to hear them, you can use oracle cards and other methods like scrying and candle lighting. Focusing on their pictures will also help. Sometimes flickering lights will allow them to communicate to us. My sister has also mentioned numerous rainbows that she has seen not only in the sky, but also in her house. Then there’s synchronicity which I wrote about in my last article.

I recalled that a few days after my mom’s services, I was on my walk at the park, and was feeling depressed. Then I saw some cars enter the park with soap writing on the windows like “Happy Birthday Mom”. I surmised that some folks were having a birthday party in the park for their mother. The thing was, that on one of the cars, there was a note that said, “Love you, Mom”. What got me, was that there was a comma in the note. I thought that it shouldn’t be there, otherwise it looked like it was from their mom, instead of, to their mom. Then it dawned on me that the note was just like what my mother would sign on some of her cards to me. What are the odds of me seeing something like that right after my mom’s service? I felt much better after that.

My sister and I have been attending a mass for my mom each month in our hometown during the months where we don’t have to worry about snow. In September, the mass was for both my mom and my niece. In the middle of the service, the lights on the altar went out. This has never happened before, and it was just those lights. My wife was also there as we were in town for my 50th high school reunion. Both she and my sister commented that the lights going out, were just like the light at the readings.

In October, I was thinking of my niece on her birthday. There was a shiny copper penny on the floor of the entrance to the grocery store. I always pick up coins, because there’s a message from God on them which is, “In God We Trust”. Plus, I like the new shiny copper pennies. I save them and other new coins and then give them to the bell ringer collecting money for the Salvation Army at Christmas. I picked up the penny and was surprised to see the Lincoln Memorial on the back instead of the Union Shield which is on the backs of the newer pennies. Even though the penny looked like new, this meant that it had to be an older penny. So, I turned the penny over to see what the year was. It was 1961, which was the year that my niece was born. I’m keeping that penny.

So, until I am able to communicate directly, I will continue to work on my physic abilities, look for signs, and speak to my angels, spirit guides, and my incredible family members who are not visible.

This Noble Self That You Really Are
by Mario C. Veo

We live in turbulent times … there is no escaping that. No matter where you live, or your affiliation, at this moment in time Life is rough. Now, we can choose to bow down and accept this … and soon enough it will have diminished our sensitivity, lowered our expectations, and for some of us, will have pushed us beyond our safe zone. Certainly compliance will be the more common solution.

I can’t tell you how many people I counsel that simply say “It’s just too big…I can’t do anything about it … I must just accept that this is how Life is going to be” … or, my least favorite “What do you expect me to do – I’m not Christ…can’t perform miracles”. Well – in those famous words – “If it was easier, someone else would be doing it”.

If you are reading this, you are not just like everyone else … and so you now have to reach deeper within…have to find a deeper source of power within you … have to learn how to resist this pervasive negativity…and once again remind yourself that who you truly are is a Noble, Radiant Being. Remember – “God said ‘Let there be Light’” … or if you prefer a more scientific approach – Quantum Physics postulates that at the very core of everything is simply ‘Light’, and the way it vibrates determines its physical properties.

So now let me ask you – “Have you forgotten this simple truth …that who you truly are is a wonderful, radiant, Light Being…” and if you have, then ‘Why ?’ What has happened in your Life that has moved you away from your true essence? Surely it is not the political posturing, the negation of ethical and moral values, the corruption that is being passed as ‘Truth’, or the fancy ads that would make you believe that you should vote for … whatever serves the latest special interest groups … No…?  Well maybe it’s the fast growing pollution, global warming, GMOs, the greed of pharmaceuticals and the escalating cost of medicine… maybe is the inhumanity to man that is so commonly used to force people into compliance… or the growing meaningless violence that seems to be pervasive everywhere …

And if you choose to focus on all this what purpose does it serve … what are you becoming … ? I am not denying that all this – and more – is going on … nor that we should all turn a blind eye …

Not at all … Rather that it is even more important to balance our interactions, to equally focus on the many, many groups that are doing true Light Work, the ones that still display human love and decency…and support this in whichever way you can – it can be through prayer, or just good thoughts… it can be by spreading and supporting their message, or simply by resisting the growing negative propaganda, or refusing to get caught up by the righteous indignation of narrow-minded dogmatic believers…

Now even more than ever, you have to feed your Noble Self … focus on beauty, on things that are joyous and uplifting, smile more, be kind to others, have compassion for those who are being swept away by the idiocy that festers our planet…and if you can’t, remember that you can just walk away … don’t engage … No matter what happens in the future, give the Light within you priority … feed it, nurture it, protect and comfort it… and know this well – this revelation of toxicity serves to identify where we must still work, where cleansing must take place, … not by matching violence with violence, but by holding strongly to higher principles, through greater morals and the remembrance that this country was founded on Spiritual Principles, and not on greed and abuse… Above all remember that you are Noble …

And so I greet you, all of us travelers on the Path together… Namaste …

Planets and Possibilities: A Look At The Astrology Of January 2020
by Sally Shotwell

As the month begins, we’re in the midst of Capricorn Season which promises to hold enormous historical implications. This cardinal earth sign represents the building and maintenance of social, financial and political structures which, as we’ve noticed, are in the process of being altered. Relentless Pluto has been ensconced here since 2008 when the global financial crisis was triggered by his diligent digging up of the U.S. Mortgage  Industry’s dirt.  HIs zeal to further our evolution by exposing compromised foundations continues and stern Saturn, in his home sign of the Goat, is assisting him in his efforts. As we follow international developments around the world  (France, Hong Kong, South America, etc.)  the challenges to the status quo have been activated and it’s unclear what lies ahead. The Sun (our consciousness), Mercury (our thought processes), and Jupiter (our belief systems) are also combining forces January 12 and we can’t predict what this power house has in store. What ever may come, we do have our inner resources helping us remain in the present and to ground ourselves. Thankfully, other astrological aspects are on hand to smooth off the rough edges.

January 2 Mercury and Jupiter conjoin and mix optimism with sound ideas, facilitating our ability to communicate with each other and the public.  The 3rd Mars (our vitality) enters fiery, exuberant Sagittarius, Jupiter’s home sign, and  he encourages us to be courageous in venturing forth. Let’s commit this energy to long-term goals since right now the climate is stressing overall restraint.  The Sun and otherworldly Neptune, in watery, psychic Pisces, commune on the 7nth, softening  our vision to allow ourselves an awareness of influences which come from beyond our everyday existence. The 8th Mercury  joins the act, lending his mental acuity  to our intuition and imagination –  soulfulness meeting practicality.  This combination ushers in the powerful Cancer Lunar Eclipse (changes).

The Full Moon in watery, home-oriented Cancer (culmination) is always associated with emotions and  family. (This sign’s symbol is the Great Mother who triggers many layers of our psyche). This Full Moon on the 10th is not just opposite the Sun in  worldly Capricorn, but also Mercury Saturn and Pluto.  We experience the tension caused between our role in the world and our personal needs. The Sabian Symbol states “A famous singer is proving her virtuosity during an operatic performance:  The emotional reward accompanying cultural excellence.”  The image is of an individual successfully externalizing her energy in a cultural, financial context.  “In it’s deepest sense the symbol refers to THE PRICE OF SUCCESS – for the individual, as well as for the collectivity acclaiming him or her.  What is success really worth?” During this time of uncertainty, Jupiter in Capricorn can guide us in finding the riches around us which transcend materiality.

Also, January 10 renegade Uranus turns forward in earthy, nature-oriented Taurus.  Innovative, out-of-the- box ideas surface and we’re motivated to discard what no longer serves us. This  also sets us up the much-anticipated, unpredictable Saturn/Pluto conjunction of the 12th.  Saturn values security and order and is now participating in deconstructing that which endangers what he holds dear.  Pluto delves deep beneath the surface exposing these threats in order for authentic rebuilding to take place. Big picture-wise, this is very noble but, as this process continues, we really need to allow ourselves to live in the present and remind ourselves that we are not alone. Challenges bring people together if we can get beyond the habitual expectations of how things ‘should be’ – we’re not in Kansas anymore.

January 13  powerhouse Sun meets with psychoanalytic Pluto and we experience valuable insights if we resist getting engaged in others’ annoying power complexes. He and Saturn then review  a strategy as to how to maturely cope with new limitations caused by the demise of old structures.   Fortunately Venus, Goddess of Love, Beauty and Money, enters spiritually-oriented Pisces and we have a chance to breathe and let our minds wander away from the mundane. Compassion for ourselves and others can come to the forefront as we detach from extraneous sensationalism. Let’s connect with a loved one or some other activity which nurtures our spirit.

January 16 Mercury enters airy, cerebral Aquarius and our thought processes are accelerated, along with our communications. This mutable air sign is known for its interest in humanitarian causes, although from a detached perspective.  We may be drawn to a worthy cause and our  intuition and creative revelations are at play. Aquarius is associated with electricity and we don’t want to get overcharged. This is particularly true the 18th when he clashes with wildcard Uranus (who rules the sign of the Water Bearer) and the energy is erratic, possibly leading to communications problems. January 20 the Sun joins Mercury and we feel  the new emphasis on the air element  as we become more comfortable discarding conventions and loosening boundaries.  The 23rd he and Uranus, now earthbound in Taurus, get on each others nerves and we need to avoid situations in which impulsive behavior causes disruptions.

January 24 is the New Moon in brilliant Aquarius (new beginnings), preceded by a kerfuffle with Uranus, so let’s be ready for the unexpected.  We’re being encouraged to plant seeds in groups where we can  feel we’re contributing to a cause. The Symbol states “A council of ancestors is seen implementing the efforts of a young leader: The Root foundation of past performances which power and sustain whatever decision is made in a crisis by an individual…This can mean a hidden foundation of individual strength, or the inertia of a tradition unable to transcend its limited origins.” We can tap into aspects from our heritage while embracing the benefits of our expanding flexibility..

January 25 Mercury is stimulated by Mars and we can bask in  warm communications and activities we share with friends. It’s the LUNAR NEW YEAR and the Year of the Rat, who in China is admired for his sense of humor and flexibility. Let’s emulate these fine characteristics and find something to celebrate!

The month wraps up with Mercury and Pluto putting their heads together to help us find ways to navigate various  transitions. The 31st Mercury and Saturn collaborate strategically to refine our agenda in order to be successful as the future unfolds. The upheavals we’re contending with are not for the faint of heart but we’ve already been through a lot and can see ourselves as a work in progress. Let’s be grateful for the guidance and support we have available to us and we’re in this together!

Blessings

2020 is a 4 year, bringing along the energy of responsibility and a more conscientious approach in sharp contrast to the last year 2019 (3) which focused on unstoppable creativity. The 4 year will also be creative but more organized and conventional, putting us on a more solid foundation. Hard work and accomplishment are hallmarks of the energy of 4… read more below, compiled by Tim Johnson.

The Numerology of 2020 (4)

The 4th card of the Tarot is the Emperor, the ‘father’ archetype. The ‘father’ is perceived as harsh, strict, and very disciplined and systematic in his approach. We may have a more no-nonsense approach to our experiences in the coming year because of the new 4 energy.

The number 4 is associated with the sign of the crab, Cancer in the western zodiac. Cancerians have external strength that serves to protect their soft interiors which are often wracked with worry about work and other material matters. The hard shell on the outside serves them well.

In the I Ching, the 4th kua is ‘uncultivated youth’. Confucius says in the commentary, “To abide where danger lurks is youthful folly… It is our sacred duty to correct the folly of youth through education.” The other hexagrams related with the number 4 are The Lovers (13), Attraction (31) and Release From Danger (40). Their focus is material and earthly concerns. Like the Emperor protecting his kingdom, the energy of 4 is all about material wealth, power and prestige.
